The White House

Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) - Provides general support and leadership to the coordination of activities of the federal departments and agencies which affect, protect, and improve environmental quality; supports and participates in the government-wide effort to reinvent environmental regulation; and fosters cooperation between the federal, state, and local governments, the private sector, and American citizens on matters of environmental concern.

Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) - provides expert advice to the President in all areas of science and technology.

President’s Committee of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) - advises the President on issues involving science and technology (including sustainable development) and also assists NSTC in securing private sector participation in its activities.

National Science and Technology Council (NSTC ) - principle means for the President to coordinate science, space, and technology policies across the Federal government.

BioEco Work Group Activities

The BioEco work group meets several times a year to carry out its chartered missions. The work group also sponsors workshops and other fora to promote understanding of the issues and technologies pertinent to biodiversity and ecosystems informatics.
